Nexans Kabelmetal, one of the leading high quality cable and conduit manufacturing company in the country has commissioned a distribution depot in Kumasi.

The depot, located in the former R.T Briscoe Yard at Asokwa, off Atonsu road will serve its valued customers like electrical engineers, contractors, distributors and other consumers in the Ashanti, Brong Ahafo and the three Northern Regions.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Dr.E.K Annan, Managing Director of the company said the commissioning of the Nexans Kabelmetal Company's first regional depot in the country's second largest city has been a long cherished plan to extend its products and services closer to the people.

Mr. Annan said "We see it as a commitment to ensure efficiency, quality of service and reliability at prices which are the same as our products in Accra or Tema."

He said, for now the depot is stocked with a range of house wiring and conduit products and can be obtained on request through the depot keeper, Mr. Samuel Brew Ward.

Dr. Annan charged the distributors to evolve a marketing strategy that would enable them to reach out to all contractors, consultants, engineers and all users of the products, assuring them of management's assistance to ensure that users get the best deal.

The Managing Director and his entourage, including Mr. Aaron Sagoe, Commercial Manager, Nana Aboagye, Marketing Consultant, Mr. Rex Akumuah, Personal Secretary and Mr. Richard Obeng, also of Nexans Kabel metal, moved to the Kumasi Children's Home to donate GH¢2,500.00 and wiring materials towards the completion of two on-going projects at the Home.

The donation was received by the Supervisor of the Home, Madam Victoria Asumnyaa. She thanked the donors for their wonderful gesture, saying "we always feel encouraged and motivated by such visits".
