Asmara — Eleven students graduated yesterday in diploma and certificates from the Asmara School of Music. The course included keyboard, guitar, saxophone, drum and other musical instruments.
The director of the school, Mr. Elias Woldegebriel, indicated that this year's graduates are the 4th batch to complete musical training.
The Minister of Education, Mr. Semere Russom, handed certificates to the graduates. He pointed out that the musical profession in the country is showing improvement from time to time and asserted that the Ministry would extend the necessary support to the school.
In a related report, 34 youths who have been following a 3-month basic musical course with the collaboration of the NUEYS branch in Anseba region graduated recently. The regional administrator, Ms. Selma Hassan, and other officials handed certificates to the graduates.
