Angola: U.S., Poland Satisfied With Elections Preparation

Luanda — The ambassadors of the USA and of Poland, Dan Mozena and Piotr Mysliwiec, respectively, expressed rejoice at the way the Angolan government is preparing the September 05 legislative elections, ANGOP learnt.

ANGOP learnt this Friday that this fact was expressed at separate audiences that the co-ordinator of the Inter-Ministerial Commission for the Electoral Process, Virgílio Fontes Pereira, granted to them on Thursday.

During the meetings, Dan Mozena and Piotr Mysliwiec wished that the legislative elections happen in an environment of peace, transparency and that citizens carry out their right to vote freely.

At the occasion, the diplomats presented matters relating to the pace of the electoral process, with highlight to the mapping of polling station, poll books and the information system to voters.

According to the press release, the meeting parties also debated about issues concerning the government's programme on district management, mainly about financial ecentralisation, under the ongoing strategic plan on administrative decentralisation.
