Luanda — The Angolan ambassador to the Republic of the Congo, Pedro Fernando Mavunza affirmed on the weekend, in Brazzaville city, that September 05 shall be memorable and historic for the country's population.
Speaking to ANGOP, the diplomat stressed the importance of the date based on the fact that Angolan can, for the second time, choose their leaders fairly, freely and in a democratic manner.
"We shall have, for the second time, the opportunity to choose who will govern us, therefore, it should be a day in which everyone, capable of voting, should carry out this civic and patriotic right", he stressed.
According to the diplomat, the date should also be of reflection, taking into account its importance to define the country's future.
Considering voting as "sacred", the ambassador advised Angolans to believe that the country's future is bright, regarding the achievements in the last six years of peace and stability in the national territory.
Concerning the relations between Angola and Congo, Pedro Fernando Mavunza considers them good, meanwhile, adding that they can improve soon with the holding of the session of the Tripartite Commission, with DRC.
