Angola: Citizens Called to Join Ruling MPLA Governance Programme

Benguela — The ruling MPLA party is due to hold on Wednesday a rally in Lobito city, central Benguela province, in the ambit of the electoral campaign, Angop has learnt.

The first secretary of Angola's governing party in Lobito, Julião de Almeida, on Tuesday appealed to the party's militants to create an environment favourable for dialogue with any citizen, respecting the principles of democracy and forgiveness to mistakes committed in the past.

The partisan official also said that MPLA has shown, along its history, the respect to human dignity.

Comrade Juliao Almeida said that his party and its leader, José Eduardo dos Santos, defend and have capacity of maintaining peace, national unity and reconciliation among the Angolans.
