The minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Afonso Pedro Kanga left this Wednesday for the central Huambo province for a two-day work visit, with view to preside over the opening of the next farming season, to begin next September.

In brief declarations to ANGOP at "4 de Fevereiro" airport, the official informed that he is also carrying some agricultural tools to be distributed to various local farming communities.

During his stay in the province, Pedro Kanga will meet with local government officials in order to learn about the problems being faced by the sector, as well as the current development of the sector in the province.

Various senior staff of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and heads of national departments travelled with the incumbent minister.
