Luanda — At least twenty one athletes were summoned Wednesday to attend training sessions of the national soccer team, ahead of friendly match against Tunisia set for next 20 August, in the North African country's city of Monastir, for FIFA date.
Among players called up by the national team coach Oliveira Gonçalves, are midfielder Luis Delgado, who plays for Metz of France and striker Manucho Gonçalves, who plays for Greece's Panatinaikos loaned from Manchester United (England), whereas Yamba Asha, Chara, Zé Kalanga and Mendonça will miss the match.
According to the programme, released to the press this Wednesday at the facilities of the Angolan Federation of Football (FAF), the athletes playing in the country will start the training sessions on 12-14 August, the date of team's departure for Lisbon, Portugal.
In Lisbon, the national team, along with players performing out of the African continent, will train on 15-17 July.
The last phase will take place in Tunisia on 18-19 August, also counting on players Flávio Amado and Gilberto, both of Al Alhy of Egypt.
The training is also in the ambit of preparation of the game with Benin, in Cotonou, for the 5th round of group 03 for qualifying of the African Cup of Nations (CAN) and World Cup, respectively in Angola and in South Africa, in 2010.
Uganda, Angola and Benin share seven points each, and Niger is the last, with zero.
