Angola's deputy minister of Youth and Sports, Gonçalves Muandumba, has said that the Government will build by 2012 about 1,000 soccer stadiums all over the country, under the ongoing Public Investments Programme, Angop has learnt.

Speaking to Angop, during a visit to the northern Zaire province, the government official said that his office also intends to construct other sport infrastructures, such as multi-use fields and gymnasiums in schools and community centres for young people.

Other priorities for the coming four years are the conclusion of stadiums that will host the African Cup of Nations in football, in 2010, in the provinces of Luanda, Benguela, Huila and Cabinda.
