Kei Kamara's debut goal for new club, Huston Dynamo was not enough to save his team from losing 5-6 to New England Revolution in the Super Liga final.
The Leone Stars' United States-based striker got his first goal for his new club in 90 (+8) minutes through teammate, Brian Ching, who floated a cross into the Revolution's box and Kamara slipped in to head the ball into the net.
Kamara's goal restored Dynamo's lead in the match as teammate, Nate Jaqua's 18 minute goal had earlier given them the lead before Revolution midfielder, Steve Ralston leveled the score four minutes before halftime.
The Leone Stars striker who celebrated his goal by holding up a towel in honor of a former college teammate who recently passed away, said, "I knew Reis (The Revolution goalkeeper) was coming out but I still had to make my run and go up for the header." However, Kamara and teammates' joy was shortened just three minutes after his goal, as Shalrie Joseph's header inside the post leveled the score line to 2-2.
As the match went on to penalty shoot-out stage, Kei Kamara and Wade Barrett converted their kicks into goals for Dynamo but their hopes of lifting the Super Liga final title for the first time was dashed after teammate, Corey Ashe's penalty kick hit the crossbar.
In an email to Concord Sports, Kamara noted, "I have good news and bad news. The good news is that I got a goal in the extra time and converted my penalty in the sudden death shoot outs.

"The bad news is that we lost the penalty shoot out and I missed the chance to lift the Super Liga title for the first time."
