Massawa — A Green Zone is under construction in Massawa city at a cost of over 3 million Nakfa through the provision of machineries by Gedem, Horn and Mussa Ali construction companies, as well as the Eritrean Naval Force. The city administration, the public and service-rendering institutions are also taking active participation in the task.
The head of planning and technical department in the Massawa city administration, Eng. Tesfalem Woldemariam, indicated that the project is being undertaken in the Tiwalet area covering 13,515 square meters within the framework of the Warsay-Yikaalo Development Campaign.
The Green Zone is being constructed along the seashore and that 70% of the task has already been accomplished.
