The Minister of Industries, Mines and Technological Development, Badel Ndanga Ndinga yesterday discussed with the Senegalese Ambassador to Cameroon, Fatou Sarr Ba, the way forward for the Jewellery production sector, particularly that which is handled by Senegalese resident in Cameroon.
Meeting at the Minister's cabinet here in Yaounde, the two officials agreed on the necessity to put in place a strategy that will enable Senegalese Jewellery producers in Cameroon to exercise their duties under good conditions. "I am happy with the conditions under which Senegalese in Cameroon are living. If they continue to live here, it is because they are satisfied", Fatou Sarr Ba told pressmen after the working session. She however underscored the fact that there were initially some administrative problems which she already discussed with the Minister and is sure that her compatriots will continue to live satisfactorily.
The Industries, Mines and Technological boss equally had a working session with the FAO Representative to Cameroon, Ousmane Guindo who was earlier received in audience by the Prime Minister, Head of government. The two officials are expected to sign an agreement next Tuesday on food safety norms.
