Besides being a man who cares about his looks, Peter Sematimba is known for the time he was a presenter on radio and used to give relationship and marriage advice on air , earning the name Ssenga wa radio.
Which salon do you do your hair from?
I do my hair myself, and my barber comes here to my office or to my home to cut it three times in a week.
And do you wear a net on your head before you go to bed?
No, I don't need to do that, if you touched my hair right now, it is not greasy, it is very dry.
What would you do to someone who walked into your office shabbily dressed?
I have learnt not to read a book by its cover. So, I would listen to what they had to say, if it made sense, I would buy it but proceed to lecture them on how better to present themselves. Of course I would pray with and for them too. It is amazing how soft God has made me lately!
If you were an employee in one of your business entities, what would you be?
I believe in being at the top, or right next to the top, so at least I would be the assistant to my boss.
What prompted you to get saved?
The deep personal realisation that actually human beings, planet earth and everything we know, is a very small pond in the big game of chess between good and evil. It made sense to be on the good side and now with me on Jesus' side, I have privy and right to all the love, grace, mercies, power, wealth and prosperity of God.
What is the worst rumour you have heard about yourself?
That I was dead; this is when I was involved in a car accident. I was racing in the Pearl of Africa Rally in 1998; so, rumour went around that I was dead.
What is your most memorable moment in the quest for money?
The first time I made a $1m in just one year; I was like wow, and that was six years ago. Ever since then, I have never looked back.
What's the quickest way to get rich?
I am still looking for it myself. Can you tell me what it is? I reckon it has something to do with God because ever since I found God, the rate at which I make money has tremendously increased.
What would you do differently had you become the mayor?
I would clean up the city (trash, roads, gardens, buildings, traffic etc) through strong and sustainable systemic changes. I would also give Kampala a positive international repute by carefully organising annual international events that would draw the world and international publicity to our city
Will you stand for mayorship again?
I will deal with that possibly in 2010; in the meantime, I am focusing on preaching the word of God, expanding my finance empire, enjoying life to the T and helping people.
