Ghana: Lorient Want to Sign Dede

French club Lorient are keen on signing Ghanaian striker Andre Dede Ayew on loan from rivals Marseille.

The 18-year-old will find first team opportunities limited this season because of the arrival of two more strikers in the off-season.

Ivorian Bakari Kone has added more bite to the attacking force of the club while Eliot Grandin has returned after impressing on loan at Caen last season.

Regular first team players Mamadou Niang and Djibril Cissé are still despite being linked with moves to England.

According to Monday edition of L'equipe, Lorient have approached Marseille to have Ayew on loan until the end of the season.

Ayew could be open to the offer as he is keen on first team action.

Even though he has returned to action from injury, he was not part of the 18-man squad that played Rennes in the opening Ligue 1 game on Saturday.

Marseille were held to a 4-4 draw.
