These days making noise seems to be the order of the day. Drivers leave their radios blaring away as they drive by. Mobile phone users play the music on their phones without using head phones, whilst on public transport, disturbing everybody else.
It is also usually some awfully crappy rap music full of swear words that even adults should not be subjected to much less kids. Others have ringtones that are downright irritating which go off at and startle you when your mind is occupied with your own problems.
Our sense of consideration for others has really gone to the dogs. The other practice these days is the saturation of perfume on our men, not to mention our women. People saturate themselves with so much perfume that you can smell them a mile away.
And it is mostly strong perfume which is supposed to be used in the evenings not the day time. Day time perfume is light and fresh. Some people must actually have a bath in it, the way they reek of the stuff. To add insult to injury, some of the perfumes smell like wet chickens. It is really disgusting!!
God willing, peaceful elections
I have been following the spates of violence at some of the registration centers and it is really ominous. God knows what is going to happen when voting day comes around. God help us!!When the founder of the NDC says even if it takes his blood to get out the NPP then we should all be on the alert for some violence.
But I hope God willing it would be a peaceful one despite the fact that some people are bent on throwing this country into total chaos all for the sake of political power. Some people cringe at the mention of Ghana being a peaceful country because they do not want peace.
They are spoilers but they should not be allowed to succeed. I say the security agencies really have their work cut out for them....
