Eritrea: 10th Eritrea Festival in the Scandinavian Countries Concludes

Asmara — The 10th Eritrea Festival in the Scandinavian countries that was conducted in Stockholm city, Sweden, from August 7 to 10 concluded in a colorful manner.

In a seminar he conducted to the participants, the Minister of Public Works, Mr. Abraha Asfaha, outlined the objective situation in the Homeland and the challenges, the prevailing situation in the region and the globe, as well as the major development programs being implemented within the framework of the Warsay-Yikaalo Development Campaign and the accomplishments so far registered.

Moreover, Mr. Solomon Dirar, author and film director, narrated the 18 minutes heroic feats of Eritrean commandos in the 1984 Operation Commando, while Dr. Eden Tareke and Dr. Tesfai Aradom gave lectures on different health issues.

Reports indicated that the holding of "Miss Eritrea in Scandinavia" beauty contest attracted the attention of festival participants.

Minister Abraha handed certificates to those institutions and individuals who made due contribution for the success of the festival.
