Sierra Leone: 'I Believe We'll Eliminate AEK Anthens'- Bangura

Freetown — After helping his side, AC Omonia Nicosia eliminate FK Milano in the first qualifying rounds of this year's Uefa cup club competition, Leone Stars' Cyprus-based midfielder Mustapha Haji Bangura hopes for another success against AEK Athens.

Speaking to Concord Sports yesterday from Cyprus , Bangura said his team departs Cyprus yesterday to face the Greek outfit on Thursday in Athens .

"We are going there with one aim which is to play, get a favourable result and qualify for the next stage of the competition. We are aware it is not going to be an easy match as they are also prepared for us," Bangura said.

"AEK Athens are different from FK Milano so we are expecting a different type of game with different qualities. In football, I don't believe in prediction. I have confidence in my teammates and believe we will try our best and hope we'll make it to the next stage of the competition," Bangura said.

The midfielder further revealed that he has now gotten himself on the starting line-up of the team adding that he created the two goals in their second leg match against FK Milano which they (AC Omonia) won 2-1.

Bangura, who joined Omonia Nicosia this season, made his debut for the club as a substitute in the 72nd minute for Dimitris Christofis in their 2-0 first leg win over FK Milano.

Please encourage our uprising soccer stars to use their right names rather than stuff like Mustapha Hadji Bangura. Sounds Morrocan to me. Lachy
