The Ghana Football Association announces the appointment of Mr Milovan Rajevac as Head Coach of the senior national team, the Black Stars for a two-year term 2008-2010.
Mr Rajevac, 54, a Serbian holds a superior football coaching certificate from the University of Belgrade. He also holds a UEFA professional license in coaching.
He is a former footballer whose career spanned the period of 1973 to 1989 during which he played for the Olympic team of Yugoslavia Red Star Belgrade and New York Arrows, among others.
He has extensive experience in Coaching, having been the head coach of FC Borac of Selbia, FC Srbija of Sweden, FC Guoan of China, FC Red Star, Belgrade, Serbia, FC Al Sadd of Qatar, FC Vojvodina, Novi Sad etc.
Mr Rajevac is currently the Head Coach of FC Borac, a club that is playing in the UEFA Cup competition. "Milo" as he is affectionately called has been regarded in Eastern Europe as the master tactition in coaching following his exploits in coaching, he was voted the best coach of Serbia by all coaches of the Serbian league and the Association of sports journalists of Serbia.
He is a well accomplished coach who has variously been described as a giant or heavyweight in the industry.
We wish to call on all Ghanaians to support 'Milo' to lead the Black Stars in the crusade towards our second qualification to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and 2010 Cup of Nations in Angola.
The GFA will formerly outdoor Mr Rajevac on Monday, August 18, to Ghanaians.
