Credible information reaching the Accra File indicates that there is imminent danger looming at Teshie, a suburb of Accra, if pragmatic steps are not taken to avert the situation.

Briefing the paper, Mr. Adjei Sowah, a senior resident in the area, said some Nigerians were trying to abuse the good hospitality of the people of Teshie, and Ghana as a whole.

He said the Teshie Royal Museum, on the Century Road, becomes a no-go area for pedestrians after 8 p.m., since these Nigerians hide in the dark, and deprive them of valuables, such as mobile phones and cash.

Mr. Sowah said there have been instances where these foreigners forcibly rape ladies, and seize their bags, by mounting an artificial barrier on the road.

According to Mr. Sowah some selfish landlords around Lincoln, Tsotsookoo and Krobo areas, have rented rooms to these immigrants without finding out exactly what they do for a living, adding that about eight people occupy a rented room.

He emphasized that the Concerned Residents Association were not taking it lightly, with the turn of events, and mounted a thorough investigation into the activities of these Nigerians.

He said "Our investigation reveals that these immigrants spend close to 10 hours in internet cafés around the Teshie 1st Estates junction.

Mr. Adjei noted that these cafés are virtually submerged by these Nigerians daily, with alleged doing 419 businesses.

According to him, these immigrants use abusive words to describe the indigenes operating their businesses around were they live.

He said, "We are law-abiding citizens, so we are appealing to, through the Member of Parliament, the government to act swiftly to prevent any further occurrences."
