Tsorona — Residential houses are being constructed in Dearu for 550 IDP families in Kudo-Weiba and Ona-Nazo, Tsorona sub-zone, through the coordinated endeavors of the Southern regional administration and partners.
The head of social service in the sub-zone, Mr. Mehari Temnewo, indicated that each of the 250 IDP families in Ona-Nazo have already been provided with the newly constructed two rooms. The construction of the residential houses for the remaining families in Kudo-Weiba is also nearing finalization, he added.
Moreover, Mr. Mehari stated that a potable water supply project that involves a water distribution station has been implemented in a bid to provide reliable drinking water to the families. Noting that the gesture attests to the Government's care to the people, he said that there are plans to put in place other service-rending institutions.
