Eritrea: ENWVA Rehabilitates Women Veterans in Bee Farming

Asmara — The Eritrean National War-disabled Veterans Association (ENWVA) has rehabilitated nine women veterans through bee farming at an expenditure of Nfa. 154,000.

The assistance for the rehabilitation program was made in collaboration with Eritrean nationals residing in the German city of Stuttgart and its environs. It is aimed at enabling the beneficiaries become self-supporting and productive. Training has also been given to the war-disabled women veterans in bee farming.

Mr. Tewolde Tesfai, representative of those who extended the assistance, indicated that all Eritrean citizens in Stuttgart have decided to make donations every December in support of war-disabled citizens, and thereby bequeath such initiatives to the young generation. He further pointed out that it is the responsibility of every citizen to support and care for war-disabled veterans.

The Chairman of the ENWVA, Mr. Gebreberhan Eyasu, expressed appreciation to the gesture and explained that the Association is doing its level best towards improving the living standard of members.
