Over 20 members of a team spearheading President Yoweri Museveni's return to power has flown to Libya, for a two-week course.

The team under the umbrella organisation of Revolutionary Committee Movement (RCM) left the country for Tripoli on Sunday on the invitation of Libyan leader, Col. Muammar Gadaffi.

The activities of the local chapter of RCM, a continental network to spearhead revolutionary ideologies and funded by Col. Gadaffi are coordinated by an Internal Security Organisation (ISO) senior operative, Mr. Emma Katabazi.

"There is an international convention in Libya, we (RCM Uganda chapter) are participating," Mr. Emma Katabazi, told Saturday Monitor on Thursday said. "We are looking at particular issues and how to advance those issues. The meeting will help to sharpen ideological and mobilisation capacity of cadres," he added.

"We are preparing for tasks of ensuring that the revolutionary in Uganda is not derailed or obstructed so we are to ensure that members are ideologically anchored," he added.

During his visit to Uganda in March this year, Col Gadaffi launched the fourth term group at the Serena Hotel in Kampala. He promised them funding to run the 4th term project.

The Libyan leader also used the State visit to urge Museveni to rule for life as long as he has the will of the people.

Closing the 10-day Afro-Arab Youth Festival at Speke Resort in Munyonyo, Col. Gadaffi said he has no faith in western-style democracy that emphasises multiparty politics and presidential term limits.
