Kickoff (Cape Town)
16 August 2008
Milovan Rajevac arrived in Accra on Friday night to begin his two-year spell as Ghana coach with a promise to "do good" during his stay here.
The Serbian was widely expected in town on Saturday but flew into Accra a day after his final game in charge of Serbian side FK Borac.
He will hold final discussions with officials of the Ghana Football Association before they unveil him at a news conference on Monday.
Now Ghana is my country, Black Stars is my team and I am ready to work and do good
But before that media encounter he went on an early charm offensive telling JoyFM he was thrilled with the opportunity to work with Ghana.
"I am very happy to be in Ghana," he said in his passable English.
"It is a beautiful country. Now Ghana is my country, Black Stars is my team and I am ready to work and do good."
Rajavac was the surprise choice of the football association as successor to Claude LeRoy and has agreed a two year deal worth just above 1million dollars with the objective to take Ghana to the 2010 World Cup.
