Enyimba have moved to the top of CAF Champions League Group B after a hard-fought 2-0 victory over TP Mazembe on Sunday.
After the DR Congo side had been reduced to 10 men after just 25 minutes, Enyimba missed a penalty on 34 minutes as Stephen Worgu missed the spot-kick.
But Ezenwa Otorogu opened the scoring in the 70th minute, before Wargu netted his 12th of the competition with 10 minutes remaining to take top spot.
In the group's other match, Al-Hilal of Sudan could only manage a disappointing 1-1 draw with CotonSport of Cameroon in Omdurman.
Nigerian Kelechi Osunwa netted for Al-Hilal, but Baba Ousmaila levelled matters on 75 minutes to earn the visitors a draw.
Enyimba have six points from their three matches, Al-Hilal have five, Cotonsport four, and TP Mazembe just the single point.
In Group A, Egyptian giants Al-Ahly sneaked a 2-1 home victory over Dynamos of Zimbabwe on Sunday, while Zamalek could only manage a 0-0 draw with Asec Mimosas, also in Cairo.
The results mean Al-Ahly top the group on seven points from three matches, Zamalek have four, Dynamos three and Asec two.
