Dear Kwami,
Fortune telling, soothsaying, crystal gazing, indeed even the modern science of forecasting, all tell the same story: Taking a peek into the future. There are times when either by the third eye of the esoteric or cool calculation of empiricism, we are able to foretell the future with some degree of accuracy.
What do you say about Mills and John on one hand and Nana Akufo-Addo and Bawumia on the other? I am equally curious about who Dr. Nduom will come up with. Can the mere pairing of individuals in a particular venture lead to success or failure?
What was it that made the Kufuor/Aliu pairing so successful and yet the Mills/Amidu and Mills/Mumuni pairings such flops? Would Mills/Mahama make a difference this time?
It is a fascinating thought, and I bet in their quiet moments, these men and their advisors would wish they could peek into the future and see how they would fare.
But, and this is a big but, if you are a believer in God like some of us are, you will agree that God already has blessed the winning pair...So, it would not be out of play to inquire: What say the auguries?
