Angola: Over 200 Firearms Handed Over to Police in Sambizanga District

Luanda — At least 219 firearms have been surrendered to the National Police in Luanda's high density Sambizanga district, since the beginning of the disarming process, a source from the corporation has announced.

According to the second commander of the local police, who presented this figures while addressing the theme "Disarming of civilian is a public security matters", considered the figure as very little, taking into account the number of inhabitants and crimes in this district.

Most of the arms were in possession of unemployed young people that used them to create panic among the population.
