Angola: Fortunato Comes Seventh in Canoeing

Luanda — The Angolan canoeing athlete, Fortunato Pacavira, came seventh the in 1000 metres of the C1 class of the competition, at the Olympics park of Shunyi, Beijing, in his Olympic games debut.

Fortunato Pacavira reached the seventh place in 04,39:538, amongst eight athletes, in a competition won by Hungarian Sandor Vadja, with 03:55: 55. Guatemala's athlete came last with 4,49:284 .

According to the source, Fortunato Pacavira will compete Tuesday for the qualifiers of 500 metres class C1 competition.
