The Brave Warriors will not have an international friendly match tomorrow in Windhoek, after both Botswana and Lesotho said they were not available.
The Warriors team manager Tim Isaacs told The Namibian Sport that Botswana opted to play against Zimbabwe instead, while Lesotho could not make the trip to Namibia due to elections in their football leadership.
Isaacs said Botswana were the first option, but they withdrew late last week, while Lesotho was not interested.
The game was supposed to be a Fifa-recognised international friendly and could have been good preparation for the Warriors ahead of their 2010 World Cup and African Nations Cup qualifying matches against Kenya and Zimbabwe.
The cancellation of the match will also affect the Warriors' world ranking.
Isaacs said a squad of 25 locally based players would be announced this week to report for training on August 25.
He said the foreign internationals would join them on August 30 to prepare for the two qualifiers.
The first qualifier will be against Kenya away on September 5, while Namibia will be hosting Zimbabwe in their last match in Windhoek on October 10.
These are the only two remaining matches for the Brave Warriors in the qualifiers for this year.
