Luanda — Forty children and adults literary works were published from January to August this year, by the National Book and CD Institute, under the programme to re-boost book production in the country.
ANGOP learnt of the information this Tuesday from the director of the institution, António Fonseca.
According to the entity, among the edited literary works, highlight falls to the 2008 António Jacinto Literary Prize: "What Africa did not say...", by Basílio Tchindombe, "The divine collapse of the Lion", by Pedro Mateus, and "Mudez", by Fl á ¡vio Gaspar.
The children's collection, dubbed "Piô and Piô", bearing 12 books, according to António Fonseca, is part of this series of works published by INALD with the purpose to encourage the love to reading.
António Fonseca stated that the Angolan government, through INALD, is making more and more efforts to encourage the society to be dedicated to the expansion of books sale, countrywide, through seminars, fairs and publishing of books.
