Luanda — USD 2.5 million was spent, in the last quarter, by Américo Boavida Hospital on the acquisition of new equipment for various services.
ANGOP learnt of the information from the chairperson of the hospital's management board, Carlos Mariano Manuel, having stressed that at the moment the institution has high-quality equipment.
According to the entity, big investments have been made on radiology services, where X-rays are now being carried out by computers without the need of using chemical products.
He added that the surgery ward was also equipped with seven anaesthesia equipment, therefore, allowing simultaneous surgeries to be carried out at the 11 available rooms.
Américo Boavida Hospital has 200 physicians, from which eight are foreigners. The staffs are distributed into the 27 areas of service.
