Kampala Casino and Tusker Malt Lager have once again partnered to facilitate the 3-day Inter Regional Golf Tournament set for August 21-23 at the par-72 Uganda Golf Club Kitante course.

The two companies, also sponsors for the last two editions of the most prestigious event after the Uganda Open, stepped up their sponsorship package by unveiling a Shs45m package that could increase after the professionals' category money prize and events of the closing ceremony are evaluated in monetary terms.

The chairman of the Uganda Golf Union Dr. Eric Tiyo Adriko disclosed that the tournament would be played on the medal format with four regions, Buganda, Northern, Eastern and defending champions Western competing with 24 players each.

"Every team will have 4 ladies, the top 20 scores will count whereas we have decided to reward the top 12 individuals to help intensify the level of competition," said Adriko.The sponsors also assured that they would offer separate individual prizes for hole in one, nearest to the pin, longest drive and best overall individual and best youngest player.

"We are happy to associate with Tusker in sponsoring the Inter Regional Tournament as it encompasses all the golfers from all the regions. We look forward to great golfing action this weekend.
