Luanda — The emergence of the economics and finance weekly constitutes an evidence of the interest aroused by Angola's economy, at a time the country's growth points are on the rise.
This was said Tuesday in Luanda by the deputy minister of Social Communication, Manuel Miguel de Carvalho "Wadijimbi".
Speaking at the ceremony of launch of the "Economia e Finanças", the official considered the emergence of the newspaper as opportune as, he added, it will help publicise locally and abroad the advances in agriculture, industry, expansion of the country's electric network and other achievements.
According to him, following the activities contained in the programme of implementation of the Government strategy, the Social Communication Ministry is restructuring its media organs and improving the quality of their contents, as well as modernising concerned infrastructures.
He said as well that 2008 is a year with relevant significance in the Government's strategy, as the second legislative elections are taking place and investments in infrastructures are mounting.
He also mentioned the example of the Angola Press Agency (Angop) that has modernised its information services with the launch of an internet portal that is standing on the local and international market as a privileged and reliable source of information.
The deputy minister spoke of the expansion of Angop's corresponds around the country which, he stressed, has an impact on the diversity of contents.
