Angola/Tunisia: Angolan Squad Face Their Counterpart Tunisia

20 August 2008

Luanda — The Angolan national senior male football team will face this Wednesday in Tunis City their counterpart of Tunisia, for a friendly match inserted in FIFA calendar.

The Palancas Negras (Angolan squad) are since last Monday in the Tunisian capital city, having had a three-day preparation for the match, in Lisbon, under the guidance of the national coach, Oliveira Gonçalves.

This is a friendly match ahead of the national team's game, on September 07, in Cotonou, against Benin, for group C sixth round qualifier for the African Cup of Nations (CAN) and the World Cup to be held in Angola and South Africa in 2010, respectively.

The last match between Angola and Tunisia happened in CAN 2008, in Ghana, and the result was a 0-0 draw.
