Bassel Hage and M. Oppong won the special golf tournament held at the Royal Golf Club Course, Kumasi, at the weekend. Bassel, under brother Samir Hage, a week earlier had won the Otumfo Sir Osei Agyapong Prempeh II memorial golf cup at the same venue, returned a one under par 71 net to beat Paul Ahun and Kwasi Appiah on count-back, all three having scored 71 net a piece.

M. Oppong, the lady captain of Royal Golf Club on her part beat Betty Richard by a strike of 74-75 net, with Hector Muller taking the third prize with a 77 net score. With a gross score of 147, Kojo Baani beats Effa Poku by 151 gross, Kwame Korsah 154 gross, Paul Nyarko 156 gross and Y.B. Okyere 159 gross in that order respectively, in the professional event.

Justice R.T. Ahinakwah won the seniors encounter played over 9 holes returning 39 points with A.K. Amofa 41 net, Kwasi Bawuah 43 points and S.K. Appiah 45 points respectively.

Mr. Charles Oduro, General Manager of K.E.K. Insurance Brokers Limited said management believes that such regional tournament enables the company's valued client to network. He also added that they were humbled by the patronage pledged to make the tournament a regular routine throughout the country".
