Nigeria: Odey Charges Zain on Rural Telephony, as Govt Welcomes Name Change

MINISTER of Communication, Mr. John Odey, has urged Zain Nigeria (formerly Celtel) to intensify its rural connection programme, with a view to increasing the rural telecom penetration rate in the country, even as he applauded the company's new brand identity.

Mr. Odey, spoke in Abuja Monday while welcoming the mobile company's top management team led by its Chief Executive, Mr. Bayo Ligali who visited to intimate him on its latest brand change across the Middle East and Africa (MEA).
