Freetown — The Bo District Football Association (BDFA) will be electing a new executive that will run the affairs of the association this weekend.
The election which will have nomination for positions such as chairman and vice chairman, secretary general and vice, will be held at the French Center with 15 delegates set to exercise their franchise.
Speaking to Concord Sports, outgoing BDFA chairman, Rodney Michael promised to support the new executive adding that he will always be part and parcel of football.
"After serving the district for over 22 years in different capacities, I think it is time to give others a chance," Michael said.
He mentioned lack of funds as the greatest problem that faced him during his 8-year term as chairman adding that without money nobody can progress.
He further noted that the district did not receive any money from the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) except for Le 1,000,000 which was recently given for the development of female football.
Commenting on his success, Michael said maintaining the two teams from the district in the premier league was a great success for him.
