Uganda: Swiss Aircraft Firm to Sell Gandans Private Jets

Kampala — A SWISS aircraft and Jet manufacturer will soon come to Uganda to display its aviation products to a few selected rich and wealthy individuals.

ExecuJet Aviation Group, based in South Africa with headquarters in Zurich, intends to present a new modern business aircraft, Bombardier Global Express Corporate Jet, to potential private buyers in Uganda in its African debut in Kampala on September 22.

During the Kampala debut, the firm will be taking the few invited individuals on a one-hour static or flying demonstrations "to experience the magnificence of this business aircraft," says a document from their offices in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Sources privy to the deal say that the aviation firm was interested in the Ugandan market because of the growing economy. The news of Michael Ezra buying a personal jet reflected a rise in the middle and wealthy class, which motivated ExecuJet Aviation Group to try and tap the Ugandan market.

Maddie Warner, the firms regional, sales and support manager, when contacted on email confirmed the development but promised to give more details at "an appropriate time."

Another senior official in the firm, Robby, told The New Vision on phone that they were making arrangements to penetrate the Ugandan market but refused to divulge the list of those people they have contacted.

"We don't divulge details of our clients but we are in touch with few people in Uganda. The list is still confidential at the moment," he said.

The new aircraft, Bombardier Global Express Corporate Jet, is a luxurious and accomplished business with advanced technology.

ExecuJet Aviation Group is a privately owned global aviation firm proving private and business aircraft solutions.
