Eritrea: Ministry Extends Interest-Free Loan to 142 War-Disabled Nationals in Anseba Region

Keren — The Ministry of Labour and Human Welfare branch in Anseba region extended interest-free loan amounting to about 4 million Nakfa to 142 war-disabled nationals in the region.

The loan ranging from 10,000 to 30,000 Nakfa was extended to citizens in the sub-zones of Keren, Elabered, Adi-Tekelezan, Hamelmalo, Habero, Halhal and Asmat. It would be paid back within a period of 2 years.

The Acting head of the branch office, Mr. Yirgalem Mussie, said that the loan is in line with the Government's care to war-disabled nationals and that it is aimed at enabling them become self-supporting and productive.

Meanwhile, the branch office has rehabilitated needy families catering to 240 orphans in 9 sub-zones of the region through extending cattle worth 20,000 Nakfa each.
