Eritrea: Substantial Investment Being Made to Expand Efficient Administration of Justice, Says Minister

Massawa — The Minister of Justice, Ms. Fawzia Hashim, said that in line with efforts to promote equitable social service across the nation, substantial investment is being made to expand efficient and fair administration of justice.

She made the remarks in a seminar in Massawa city with administrators, PFDJ and Assembly members, branch heads of ministries and national associations in the Northern Red Sea region.

Ms. Fawzia indicated that major tasks have been accomplished in endorsing laws and regulations, expanding efficient administration of justice, reforming institutional structure and providing skill-upgrading training, among others. She stressed the need for defining the task and responsibility of other institutions so as to ensure efficient and reliable administration of justice. The Minister also highlighted the significance and goal of institutions of justice.

The Administrator of the region, Ms. Tsigereda Woldegergish, on her part called on all government institutions to coordinate their activities so as to reinforce the ongoing efforts to ensure efficient administration of justice.
