Harare — ALICK Macheso had to prematurely end his family show at the Harare Gardens on Sunday as he rushed to attend to his wife, Nyadzisai, who suffered a miscarriage.

Nyadzisai -- who was five months pregnant, has been having complications since July.

"I had complications in July and got admitted at Chitungwiza Central Hospital where I stayed for a week.

"I was bleeding and I had to go to hospital where I was assured that there was nothing really bad about my situation.

"I also visited my doctor at the Queen of Peace who assured me that all was okay but then the misfortune just happened when noone expected it," she explained.

On the fateful day, she had been in good health when Macheso left home for the show at the Harare Gardens.

She however, started having serious stomach pains later in the day and was rushed to Queen of Peace Hospital where she had the miscarriage.

"When Baba Sharon (Macheso) left for the Sunday show I was in the finest of health but started having pains as the day progressed prompting me to rush to Queen of Peace Hospital in Hatfield to see my doctor.

"It was at the hospital that I had the miscarriage," Mai Macheso added.

She said she had given birth a live baby boy who unfortunately died minutes after birth.

"Although I had delivered much earlier than expected, the baby was alive but it was very unfortunate that he died some minutes later after birth," she said.

Had the young boy survived she could have been the couple's sixth child and the second son in the family.
