Chelsea manager Felipe Scolari is unsure about the availability of Ghana international Michael Essien for the club's visit to the JJB Stadium on Sunday.
The Black Stars ace has started training after a calf injury kept him out of Chelsea's opening day 4-0 win over Portsmouth but Scolari is uncertain if Essien can feature in Chelsea's game against Wigan Athletic.
Essien maybe can play for 45 minutes, maybe no
"I have little problems with Ballack, Bosingwa and with Essien," he said after Friday's training.
"Now we have started with Essien training more regularly. Bsingwa and Ballack are in good condition for Sunday and Essien maybe can play for 45 minutes, maybe no."
Essien picked up the injury at training in the build up to the season and missed Ghana's international friendly against Tanzania in midweek but should be available when the Black Stars travel to Libya for the 2010 World Cup qualifier on September 5.
