Haminu Dramani is hoping Stoke City and Locomotive Moscow can reach an agreement quickly so he can make what he calls a dream move to the English Premiership.
Stoke manager Tony Pulis has revealed the Potters have completed their part of the bargaining, but reports suggest Locomotive will not allow Dramani to leave until November, when the Russia domestic league ends.
Dramani says he is unaware of that and is holding out for that 'dream' move.
"It is news to me," he says in response to reports that Locomotive will not allow him to leave. "I'm looking forward to my debut, hopefully the clubs will reach an agreement."
Dramani has played European club football, but is still desperate to join a club who might struggle to stay in the English top flight at the end of the season. The reason for that is apparently the quality of the English game.
"I have dreamed about this moment of joining a Premiership club. This is the best league in the world.
"No disrespect to the Russian League, but all the best players play their football here. I hope the two clubs can agree. I love the Premiership and although the Russians gave me a chance to be in Europe, hopefully they will reach an agreement."
Dramani has three goals, including one at the 2006 World Cup against the United States of America, in 27 international games for Ghana.
Stoke on Saturday surprised Aston Villa with a 3-2 victory in their first home game of the season, a morale-boosting win for Pulis' side.
