Kenya: Moi Denies Claims of Officers' Links to Kabuga

24 August 2008

Nairobi — Retired President Daniel arap Moi Sunday denied claims that some members in his administration gave protection to Rwandan genocide suspect Felicien Kabuga.

He challenged authors of a report linking some officers who worked under him to the whereabouts of Mr Kabuga to make public their names.

Speaking through his press secretary, Mr Lee Njiru, Mr Moi said that it was wrong for people investigating Mr Kabuga to paint his administration in a bad light.
