Kickoff (Cape Town)
25 August 2008
Junior Agogo opened his goal account for Zamalek with the strike that helped the Cairo giants to a 2-1 win over El Masry.
Agogo struck the winner in the second half.
The Ghanaian missed the first two games of the Egyptian domestic season with a knee injury but looked sharp on his return.
And after Zamalek's first half lead had been cancelled by El Masry, Agogo took his chance well seven minutes into the second half with a calm finish to ensure all three points for the club that has made a big investment in him.
The goal was a major relief for Agogo who is keen to prove he has made the right choice with his move to Zamalek.
His return from injury too will be a boost for the Black Stars ahead of the 2010 World Cup qualifier against Libya in Tripoli on September 5.
