Cameroon: HIV/Aids - Another Global Monster in the Pipeline

Frankfurt/Main, Germany — As some 22,000 scientists, politicos, NGOs, patients were -during the last 17th "International AIDS Conference" from August 3 through August 8 in Mexico City, brooding the best means that would enable the estimated 33 millions HIV/AIDS patients worldwide to have access to effective treatment before the end of 2010, one female newscaster of the German regional radio and television "MDR", floated a weird, false, devious and insidious idea.

The female newsreader stated that "Black people are genetically prone to HIV/AIDS." The false piece of information was designed to malign and stigmatise people of colour world-wide, and above all to set the scene for a global smear campaign targeting people of colour word-wide.

In so saying, this lady was and is indeed acting upon the notorious Machiavellian saying that: "Give a dog a bad name and hang it." No wonder, Machiavellian books are generally and usually sold in bookstores over here in Germany. Those books advise that one has to resort to all dirty means possible, including slander, if one hankers for overcoming the nitty-gritty of the everyday world.

Such books teach that peddling false, nasty rumours may at times kick the rumour-monger upstairs, since he or she is essentially a layabout or a slacker. The journalist of "MDR" maliciously distorted and peddled the facts about the source of HIV/AIDS among blacks because she wanted to counter the scientifically proven fact that people who lack melanin or black pigment are prone to skin cancer.

Moreover, it's now known that the lack of skin colour is a feature of albinism, which is a genetic and hereditary disease. Most biology books labouring on "albinism" teaches that humans who lack a dark skin colour are prone to skin cancer because their skin doesn't contain melanin which protects against ultra-violet radiation.

Now, all people of colour, owing to the melanin contained in their skin, are guarded against ultra-violet radiation. The point is that the Wahrig Deutsche Wörterbuch - Wahrig German Dictionary - of 1996, suggests that blonds and common whites are albinos. That journalist is now looking for a way to cook up a genetic hereditary disease for people of colour in order to stigmatize them.

The HIV/AIDS patients world-wide are computed at 33 millions. It is assumed that approximately 22 million of them are Africans. These are only estimates. And these estimates are due to the fact that people are encouraged and advised in Africa and in many "developing countries" around the world to go in for systematic HIV/AIDS screening and test, while in some "developed countries" like Germany, those tests aren't systematic.

HIV and AIDS are taboos over here. There's a stigma of selfishness and shame associated with HIV/AIDS so that most people in Continental Western Europe broadly speaking and in Germany particularly are not willing to submit to any HIV/AIDS screening.

There are scores of women who discover their HIV/AIDS status only when they are pregnant, because they are obliged to submit to a compulsory HIV/AIDS test. Many seek to dismiss the words "HIV/AIDS" from their mind and from their environments to an extent that when a person dies of HIV/AIDS, nobody will be ready to say exactly what he/she was sick of.

On August 9, a journalist of "ORF", the "Austrian Radio and Television", reported that HIV/AIDS is spreading in Eastern Europe, with a high prevalent rate in Ukraine and Russia. Are these Ukrainians and Russians blacks too?

Talking of the figures, this writer petitioned the World Health Organisation, WHO, to disclose the methods and methodologies used by those who release those figures, just as serious opinion pollsters usually release their methodologies. Until now, no reply has been given. Further investigations into the issue revealed that these figures were only estimates.

Another journalist of Deutschlandfunk, (German Radio), On August 5, said in an interview that there are 600,000 African-Americans with HIV/AIDS in the U.S. He didn't mention the methods used to arrive at that figure. Yet he bothered to make it plain that more than 50 percent of HIV/AIDS sufferers in the U.S. are blacks.

Concisely, HIV and AIDS are scourges that are threatening many communities in the world over and not only people of colour. The best way to take on these evils is to complement existing appropriate therapies by educating the world on fidelity and abstinence. The "Straight Talk" campaign and the "Fidelity and Abstinence" campaign in Uganda checked the spread of HIV/AIDS down to 2002.

HIV/AIDS doesn't select and strike only those living in developing nations or those who have dark complexion; HIV/AIDS is not selective. They can infect blacks, whites, rich and poor alike.
