Nigeria: Senate Probes - 162 Million Hospitals Rehabilitation Contracts

Abuja — The Senate is poised to probe the award and execution of contracts for the rehabilitation of 14 university teaching hospitals in the country, valued at -162 million.

The Upper House, through its Committee on Health, had already interrogated top officials of the Ministry of Health, which awarded the contracts to VAMED Engineering Limited in 2002 and 2006 under the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
