Mogadishu — A plane that transports Khat to Kismayo town has unpredictably landed at KM50 airport in Lower Shabelle region after unknown armed groups have opened fire on the plane while it was planning to land at Kismayo airport that redirect the plane to KM50 airfield in lower Shabelle region on Tuesday morning officials said.
More bullets were reported to have been struck on the plane.
The plane has landed at KM50 airport with spilling out fuel.
No human causalities were reported.
Kismayo town is under islamists control
The plane now lies at the airport of KM50 as the pilot has taken trip with other plane from Somalia.
No further details on this incident are available.
