Nairobi — A series of peace talks between members of various communities affected by post-election violence are being held in Kaptembwo through the support of the UN Development Programme.
The coordinator of the district UN volunteer programme, Dr Solomon Wanguru, on Wednesday said two peace meetings were being held weekly.
Some 52 people trained in conflict resolution have been guiding the meetings between elders from the Kikuyu, Kalenjin, Luo, Kisii and Luhya communities. The team will work in Kaptembwo for four months before heading to Rongai and Lanet.
