South Africa: Sithole Waits On Makaab

28 August 2008

Transfer-listed Maritzburg United striker Justice Sithole says he holds no hard feelings after being surprisingly shown him the door just two weeks after signing a new two-year contract with the team.

Sithole trekked back home to Madadeni last Thursday and is waiting for word from his manager Mike Makaab with regards to his immediate future.

"I haven't got any offers as yet, so I am now back home focusing my mind after the sad reality of what happened. I felt hard done when I heard that I was no longer in Gordon Igesund's plans after having done so well last season.

"There is nothing that I can do about the decision which I respect. I don't regret playing for Maritzburg because there was never a time that I experienced anything bad. If it were possible I would go back now because I don't have a problem with anyone there.

"Being the person that I am, I hold no hard feelings because I have been through worse things than this before in my career.

"Life goes on and all I want is to just play football again because then I will continue to stay strong," says Sithole.

"As far as I know I am still under contract for another two years, unless Mike and the club have reached some agreement. But I am sure Mike and the club are already working something out."

The 27 year-old striker started off his career at Kaizer Chiefs before moving to Black Leopards and Golden Arrows.
