Ghana international Haminu Dramani will know later on Thursday whether his bid to join English Premiership side Stoke City has been successful.
Dramani finally has the go ahead from his Russia side Locomotive Moscow to move on a 6-month loan deal that will be dependent on his acquisition of a work permit.
I have dreamed about this moment of joining a Premiership club
The move should be a straight forward issue given Dramani's consistency with the Black Stars over the last two seasons.
He has played in two Nations Cups and the 2006 World Cup as part of his 27 national team appearances majority of which have come in the last two years.
Stoke assistant manager Dave Kemp is hoping the deal goes through and is confident Dramani will add a new dimension to Stoke's game.
"He's a player we've known about for a while and we've become aware he might be available. He's a pacy winger, which is something we haven't got," Kemp said.
"He had a work-out with the lads and looked very quick," said Kemp. "It's difficult to say how he would do in games because it's different playing in the Premier League than it is in Russia.
"He has the tools to be a success over here but it all depends on how quickly he adapts. He has a talent that we're definitely interested in."
Dramani himself says he is looking forward to the move. "I have dreamed about this moment of joining a Premiership club. This is the best league in the world.
