Moroka Swallows and Nigeria national team goalkeeper Greg Etafia has promised Bafana Bafana no favours when the Super Eagles meet Bafana in the World Cup/Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Port Elizabeth next week Saturday.
Bafana Bafana will enter the field next weekend licking their wounds following their 2-0 drubbing by the Super Eagles at Abuja in the same tournament in June this year.
Etafia said even though he regards South Africa as his second home, his homeland, Nigeria, comes first in everything and promised the Nigerian soccer fans that this time the Super Eagles will qualifier for the 2010 World Cup.
"I love South Africa very much and the people here have treated me nicely. I always support Bafana Bafana when they play against other countries, but this time they are playing against my country
"To me my country comes first and I make sure that I give my best every time I get an opportunity to wear the national team jersey. I will do the same when we play against Bafana Bafana.
"Its going to be a tough game for us as Bafana Bafana are also desperate to qualify for the Nations Cup tournament in Angola.
"We have already qualified for Angola, but want to maintain our unbeaten record in the tournament. We missed the World Cup in Germany, but this time we want to see ourselves in South Africa during the World Cup 2010.
"We are a big country and our people deserve to see us playing in the World Cup in 2010."
Etafia has showered praise on Super Eagles coach Shuaibu Amodu for the great work he has done since taking over the reins from Berti Vogts earlier this year.
"We have collected 12 points from four games and this record speaks volume about the work done by Amodu. He has proved that he is the right person for this job."
